Alive at Twenty-Five is a four hour training program provided federally by most states.  This program teaches drivers, ages sixteen to twenty-four, how to take responsibility while driving and make the correct decisions in various situations.  Instructors of the Alive at Twenty-Five class use real life stories and humor to get the point across to this somewhat difficult age group.

Melanie’s Law, signed into law in October 2005, proposed more severe punishments for drivers that operate a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.  Melanie’s law also requires any driver with two or more Operating Under the Influence (OUI) offenses who is eligible for license reinstatement to have an Ignition Interlock Device (IID) installed in any car the driver owns, leases or operates. This device, which is required for two years, mandates the driver to pass a breath test before being able to start their car.

Enrolling your child into a Rhode Island or Massachusetts Driver’s Education Program provides teens with a much better chance of passing the test. The program helps your teen to actually understand and apply classroom knowledge to their new adventures on the road! Driver’s education programs in Massachusetts consist of both in the classroom instruction, as well as, motor vehicle on-road instruction. Students have a maximum of two years to finish classes from the start of the first session in order for the class to be valid under the state of Massachusetts. A new Federal Law set forth by the EPA requires training certification for any contractor involved in any construction activity that will or has the potential to disturb lead based paint. The new EPA rule (going into effect on April 22, 2010) will directly affect ALL paid renovators who work in pre-1978 housing and child-occupied facilities, including: renovation contractors, maintenance workers in multi-family housing, painters and other specialty trades.
